Have you been travelling to or through Calgary Chinatown lately? Did you spot a giant community wall mural by the Lions Bridge and 2nd. Avenue. S.E. corner?
The talents behind this amazing wall mural are Jamie Mason, aka Rawry, and Kevin Chow, aka Pohly. The mural was officially unveiled on Oct. 12, 2022.
The project is a community collaboration between the Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre, Calgary Chinatown Community Association, Chinatown Business Improvement Area, and organizations throughout Chinatown. The idea is to come up with a reinterpretation that felt accessible, inspirational, but also fun for Calgarians.
